Indian Police Service
IPS Full Form is Indian Police Service. The main purpose to set up IPS is to maintain public peace and order, crime prevention, investigation, detection, VIPs security, counter terrorism, drug trafficking, economic offences, disaster management etc. The IPS exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year starting in May and till January. The purpose of which is to fill various types of Indian Police posts and in which thousands of youth take the exam every year, out of which the best youth is selected for this post.
History Of IPS
The Indian Police Service came into existence after one year of independence of India in 1948. It has replaced the Indian (Imperial) Police. It is a first class and lofty administration.
Eligibility for IPS
- You must be an Indian citizen.
- You must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
- You must be at least 21 years of age and maximum 30 years (maximum age is different for OBC, ST, sc and others as per rules)
- Height (Male – 5. 4ft (165 CM), Female – 4. 9 ft (150 CM))
- Minimum Chest Girth (Male – 84 CM, Female – 79 CM)
In-Plane Switching
It is a type of monitor display and screen technology. More specifically, an IPS panel is a type of TFT LCD. LCD is the use of light modulating properties from unlit liquid crystals for providing a flat panel or electronic visual display. It was developed by Hitachi in 1996
Intrusion Prevention System
It is a system that examines a network for spiteful activities such as security threats or policy violations. The main function of an IPS is to identify doubtful activities, and then log information, attempt to block the activity, and then finally to report it.
